Myself

I first heard about D’ni from the game Myst which was created by a company called CyanWorlds.
I started learning as much as I could about the Ages described in the game and D’ni, one might say it became an obsession. In 2000 I had heard rumors of the cavern being inhabited again, I followed every clue and read any piece of information I could.
In 2002 the DRC site went public, and we knew that D’ni had been discovered and people were in the cavern restoring the lost empire.
In the summer of 2003 I was invited into the Cavern for a brief visit, alas I was only down there a couple of hours before I had to head back to the surface. A few days later I recieved a letter from Zandi, inside were details on where to access the Cavern.
I started Yeesha’s Journey only to abandon it as my attraction to the Cavern was to great. There I met many other Unauthorized Explorers like myself and eventually took up Yeesha’s Journey once again. It was also during this time that the Guild of Greeters started up I offered myself up as a greeter as I felt my knowledge of the City would help people, I was accepted and became a Greeter.
In November 2003 the DRC opened the Cavern to the public and I witnessed masses of people venturing down into the City and its Ages. At this point I becamed one of a small group of people called Rehearsal Explorers, who’s job it was to visit newly restored area’s and Ages to check for stability before they were released to the public. It was shortly after this that I met Douglas Sharper in one of the hoods, I had heard rumours about him and so we sat down do a game of Ahyoheek, If I beat him I would get a Great Tree jacket. I lost but he gave me the jacket anyway and I became one of his supporters, eventually I became pretty involved in the group.
Then Phil appeared, I began camping in Kemo hoping for the chance to speak to him. Eventually he returned to the City and I tried to be where he was so I could ask him about where he had been, to learn from him. Sharper and the Great Tree group rallied behind Phil and Yeesha and against the DRC. After some arguments with Sharper I formed The Third Path which was to promote a way for the factions to work together for the best of D’ni. But then the accident at the Guild Hall happened and Phil was assumed to be dead, the DRC fell apart funding dried up and the DRC pulled out of the cavern and closed everything down, they sought to keep everyone out of the city.
They failed however as a group of us found away back into the Hoods, and from there the Nexus and City, called the D’ni Raiders we continued our presence in the Cavern learning and restoring the place in our own smaller ways. It was at this point I started researching The Art, the ability to write Ages.
Eventually a more direct way was opened to the public, they returned to the City, to the Great Zero, To D’ni they called it. But it also allowed us to learn of what happend to Watson, Phil and the DRC, but more importantly it allowed us to start The Path of the Shell.
A new Journey of Yeesha’s to teach us of The Grower and The Watcher, it also allowed us to access new Ages and area’s the DRC had access to but not us. Not long after this the path to the Cavern was opened up by the Explorers and the public flocked back to the city again.
In April 2006 I was elected to be in the first group of DRC Liaisons, we would serve as a bridge between the DRC and Explorers, sharing information and arranging meetings and “Town Halls”. A couple of months later it was announced that the DRC have got funding to restart the restoration, the cavern is due to reopen in the Christmas holidays. After being elected for a second time as a Liaison I stepped down, and a week later the Liaison position was dissolved.
I currently head up the RestorersGuild and travel as a regular explorer, focusing on my studies of the Bahro.
