Pellet Experiments
Experiment 001 - Using the glyphs within the Bahro Cave that can be found in the Pellet room, I have set the ovens to 40-30-20.
If my calculations are correct every 10 notches on the time slider is equal to an hour, I estimate a cooking time of 4 hours for this batch.

Batch has completed cooking, initial tests in the Ashem’en Silo produced a white glow which spread out over the body of water, quality value of Pellet in the 800 region, value fluctuated been each pellet. Single pellet held for testing in the Bahro Cave, glyphs appeared on the walls.
Experiment 002 - First of the experimental recipes, oven to be set to 21-26-28, roughly 2 hour cook time esitmated.

Complication arose, only one oven set to 21-26-28, other ovens left at the 40-30-20 setting when the baking process was started.
Batch completed cooking, testing in Ashem’en provide promising results, initial test provides bright orange reaction spreading out across the body of water, KI quality value of about 900.

3 pellets tested in Ashem’en Silo, provide the same results with same quality value. A single pellet activated in the Bahro Cave to observe results.
Experiment 003 - All four ovens set to 21-26-28, again 2 hour esitmated cooking time.
First pellet taken to Ashem’en for testing, pellet provides a small orange reaction, unlike the previous experiment the reaction did not spread through the body of water. KI quality value noted as 395.
Experiment did not provide a positive batch of pellets, rest of the pellets were disposed of.
Experiment 004 - All four ovens due to be set to 26-20-28. Oven settings did not match up apparently, only one oven began to bake pellets. Results to this test were the same as experiment 003, pellets were dumped after initial test in Ashem’en.
Experiment 005 - All four ovens set to to 43-30-25 with an estimated cooking time of around 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Pellets taken to Ahsem’en for testing, results were very positive, pellets yielded a strong orange reaction with the lake water, which spread out throughout the entire body of it.
The KI quality values were as follows;
- 952
- 964
- 962
- 956
- 946
An avarage rating of 956, a very positive recipe. The next experiement will expand upon this formula, increasing the baking time by 2 notches on the oven to 45, will cook a section batch with a 50 (5 hour) bake time on it. Baking a second batch of experiment 005 for further testing to see if quality is similar to the previous batch.
Experiment 005.2 - A repeat of experiment 005 to double check quality point values.
Experiment 006 - All four ovens to be set at 45-30-25 estimated 4 hours cooking time. This batch is being cooked up by Kehra, awaiting results.
Experiment 007 - All four ovens to be set at 50-30-25, estimated cooking time of roughly 5 hours.
Recipe was not as positive as the previous, pellets tested in Ashem’en District. Pellets provided a positive orange reaction which spread throughout the body of water. Indicator peaked slightly above the half way mark, I have theorized that the indicator is like a PH tester, to high a result and the pellets are too acidic, to low and it is too alkaline. Pellets will need to be as close as possible to neutral mark.
KI quality values are as follows;
- 952
- 948
- 972
- 958
- 974
About an average of 958 scored. I have come to the conclusion that the time setting on the oven needs to be left at 45, I shall continue experimenting with the other 2 settings.
Experiment 008 - All four ovens to be set to 45-35-30
Final batch of pellets did not perform as expected, counts were in the low 500 area. Experiment did, however, disprove a previous theory that the pellets need to be close to the neutral mark. This batch of pellets resulted in the indicator being as closer to the half way mark than all the other experimental batches. However this batch yielded low numeric results and the glow whilst long lasting was dull and did not spread out through the entire body of water. These results lead me to believe that the golden point to aim for is in fact halfway between the neutral and the acidic marks.
KI quality values are as follows;
- 523
- 505
- Pellet Lost
- 510
- 507
About an average of 516 scored. A single pellet was lost in transport, which technically voided the experiment. However the remaining 4 pellets yielded positive information.
Experiments in the Er’cana Pellets have now ceased as the experiments have fulfilled their purpose.
